The “Recently Used Apps” section on the Home screen of the Amazon Fire TV/Firestick can help you quickly find apps you use all the time. But sometimes an app you will never use gets stuck on the list. Thankfully, you can control this! You can quickly remove apps from the Recently Used Apps section using these steps.
- Use the remote control to navigate back and forth on the on the Recently Used Apps list. Highlight the app you wish to remove.
- With the app highlighted, press the Menu ☰ button on the remote. A menu will appear on the lower-left portion of the screen.
- Choose “Remove from Recent“.
That’s it! It’s kind of a hidden setting, but we figured it out!
