There may come a time where you will have to clear the cache for a certain app on the Amazon Firestick. Doing so can fix a myriad of problems you might be experiencing with the app.
Clearing the app cache removes some settings and stored information and sets the app back to the state it was when you first installed it.
Before performing these steps, you may want to be sure you have the username and password ready as your credential information may be removed from the app.
To clear the app cache on the Firestick, perform these steps:
- Press the Home button to start at the home screen.
- Select Settings ⚙️.
- Choose Applications.
- Select Manage Installed Applications.
- Scroll down and select the app you wish to clear the cache on.
- Select Clear cache.
If clearing the cache doesn’t provide you with a solution to your issue, you may want to navigate back to the screen and choose Clear data also.
