Roku device owners may find that they have a problem where the thumbnail pictures are not showing for the titles of shows and movies. You can usually fix this problem with one of the following solutions.
In This Guide
Fix 1 – Restart
Performing a system restart will clear the memory and refresh things to allow the thumbnail pictures to be restored. You can reset your Roku with these steps:
- From the Home screen, select “Settings”.
- Choose “System”
- Select “Power”
- Select “System restart“.
Fix 2 – Remove Power
For some people, the restart doesn’t seem to work. In this situation, you will need to pull the power cord from the back of the Roku device. After you have removed the cord, count to 10, then plug it back in.
Hopefully one of these two sets of steps solved your problem with thumbnail pictures not loading. Please share your experience in the comments section below.
Used fix number one and it came back on just beautifully. Thanks for simple instructions that work.
Glad to hear it!
I have three Roku devices, all of them will not display all the thumbnails when viewing Netfix. It appears to be a RAM problem in that thumbnails do seem to keep populating as time goes by. I have deleted all unused apps on the devices and the problem still exists. I am down to less than half a dozen apps on my most capable box. I have tried cold starting the device and removing unused apps. Any suggestions?
I forgot to tell you. This problem started a few days ago on all devices at the same time? I have checked the internet service provider and see no problems in that area. Everything else except Netflix operates properly. I guess I am wondering if Netflix has changed something about there operations?
